Aloha, I’m Magen!

I’m an amateur dressage rider and trainer, Friesian horse lover and all around equestrian enthusiast.

My training blog, Equestrian Fuzion, has evolved out of the many hours spent training and working with my mare, Athena. Athena is 3/4 Friesian, 1/4 Morgan. She has a little bit of sugar, and a lot of spice, is super sensitive, very smart, tries incredibly hard but, gets frustrated and bored easily.  She has more “go than whoa” and is a handful most of the time. Nice combo right?! To say I love her would be an understatement. She is my heart horse all the way!

She has taught me so much over the years and I wouldn’t be where I am today without our partnership. We’ve worked hard, struggled through some serious challenges and have bonded in ways I never thought possible.

We are in our 5th year together and the progress we have made, and continue to make on a daily basis melts my heart.  We are currently schooling second level and rapidly advancing. I see the makings of a Grand Prix partnership in our future!
This blog is our story, intertwined with my philosophy, techniques and styles I’ve fused together in collaboration with other professionals, in the development of my own training process, Equestrian Fuzion.

So join up with us to receive your weekly “Friday Fuzion” of training tips and ideas, products to explore and stories to keep you motivated in your own equestrian journey.
